Creating an event and sharing it with guests is completely free. You only pay fees when you receive contributions.
Zelo's service fee per contribution
3.89%
This fee covers the Zelo platform, event page hosting, guest management features, and customer support.
Processing fee charged by PayPal per transaction
3.49% + $0.49
Payment processing is handled by PayPal. Fees may vary slightly for international transactions (+1.5% surcharge) or different payment methods. Final processing fees will be disclosed before each transaction.
For a $100 contribution:
International transactions may incur an additional 1.5% PayPal surcharge.
All fees are always paid by the host. Fees are automatically deducted from each contribution at the time of payment. Guests see and pay the exact amount they choose — no extra charges are added to their payment.

Payout/withdrawal
Payouts are processed by PayPal directly to your connected PayPal account. Standard payout timing is 2-7 business days depending on your location and account status.
PayPal may hold funds for new accounts or unusual activity. For payout questions, contact us at support@getzelo.co.
If a refund is issued, PayPal processing fees are not returned. Our platform fee will be refunded to you. For full details, see our Refund Policy.
